Eligibility Criteria of Maastricht University Scholarships 2027-28:
- You must hold a passport from a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Suriname.
- You need to qualify for a Dutch entry visa (MVV) and residence permit — check where to collect your MVV before applying.
- If you already have a Schengen residence permit, it must be valid until at least 2 September 2027. Otherwise, you must apply from your home country.
- You cannot have dual nationality from the EU/EEA or Switzerland.
- You must apply for an eligible full-time Master’s program at Maastricht University for 2027–2028 by 10 December 2026 and meet the program’s admission requirements. Pasted text
- You must not have completed a full degree in the Netherlands (exchange programs are fine).
- Preference goes to candidates without a previous master’s degree.
- You must be under 35 years
- You should have excellent academic results (GPA 7.5/10 or higher).
- If awarded, you must act as a UM ambassador, sharing your experience with future students and stakeholders.
- You can apply only once and for one scholarship, ensure all documents are correct before submitting.
How to Apply for the Maastricht University Scholarships 2027-28:
Step 1: Register for a Program
- Register for a participating master’s program at Maastricht University (UM) via Studielink and receive your student ID.
- Once you have your student ID, complete the scholarship application.
- Make sure to meet all admission requirements before the scholarship deadline.
- You are responsible for any program-specific handling fees
- Provide a GPA of 7.5 or higher and a document explaining your grading system
Step 2: Complete the Scholarship Application
- Log in with your UM account and fill out the application form.
- Submit required documents in .doc, .docx, or PDF format. This includes:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Max 2 pages, including education and achievements.
- Motivation Letter: Use the provided template.
