The Asian Institute of Technology Scholarship 2026-2027 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. This scholarship is offered for master’s and PhD studies and covers the stipend of 11,500‐15,000 baht per month and tuition fees

The AIT academic year consists of two semesters: January and August. The deadlines of applications for admissions and financial aid (Scholarships) are as follows:

January Semester/Term Intake: School of Engineering and Technology (SET), School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), School of Management (SOM)

  1. 20 December is the deadline for overseas applicants, requiring educational visa

March Term Intake (only for School of Management)

  1. 15 February is the deadline for overseas applicants, requiring educational visa
  2. 25 February is for other applicants

June Term Intake (only for School of Management)

  1. 15 May is the deadline for overseas applicants, requiring educational visa
  2. 25 May is for other applicants

August Semester/Term Intake: January Intake (School of Engineering and Technology (SET), School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), School of Management (SOM)

  1.  28 February is the deadline for HM King’s and Queen’s, and GMS scholarships
  2.  31 March is the deadline for other Scholarships (i.e. ADB-JSP, Bangchak: Master and Doctoral and others.
  3. 10 June is the deadline for AIT Scholarships including RTG Fellowships.
  4.  30 June is the deadline for overseas applicants, requiring educational visa
  5.  25 July is for other applicants

October Term Intake (only for School of Management)

  1. 15 September is the deadline for overseas applicants, requiring educational visa
  2. 25 September is for other applicants

Scholarship Coverage

The Asian Institute of Technology Scholarship will provide the recipients with the following benefits:

  1. Full, or a portion of, tuition for qualified students, while the students are responsible for the rest of the tuition.
  2. The registration fees of 20,000 Baht per semester to maintain student status
  3. The living expenses of around 11,500‐15,000 Baht per month

Eligibility Criteria for Asian Institute of Technology Scholarship

To be eligible for the Asian Institute of Technology Scholarship, the applicant must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Required Language: Meeting AIT’s English Proficiency Requirement (i.e., IELTS-Academic or AIT EET score of 5.0 or above for master’s and 5.5 for doctoral programs)
  2. Eligible Countries: All Countries
  3. Having a four‐year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university;
  4. Having a master’s degree from a recognized university for PhD applicants and having a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in their master’s degree and 2.75 in their undergraduate program from top universities.
