Eligibility:
  1. Applicants must have an excellent academic record.

  4. All applicants must also complete the English language requirements, and if they submit test results, they should have SAT scores of at least 1500 and ACT scores of at least 33 to be considered for the Boston University Trustee Scholarship.

  6. The trustee scholarship essay must be no more than 600 words long. 
The essay must be on any one of the following topics:

People have been here before me, and I am following in their footsteps. The novels I read were written by generations of mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, instructors and students. "I am the sum of their experiences and quests." Is there a film, book, podcast, or life event that has ever made you feel more connected to your personal history or identity, and what was the most essential lesson you learned from it?
  2. Describe a time/situation in which you ventured outside of your comfort zone, were marginalized, or felt demeaned. How you handled/responded to that occasion, and how did it affect your behavior going ahead.
